I want to see how many people try and can connect and see how many try and can not connect.

wanting to see if we have some issues on our side of things.

ok. were going to reset everything on our side. so it will go down for a minute.

friggen router handed the echolink machine a diferant ip. thus our port allowed in/out got fucked.

were setting it all to static be back in a min.

No nothing...... The station info is getting through now..... it wants to "fetch data" .....but....times out still on my end

And the system definately works great!! .....Bob sounded great on our VA7RFR-R local machine....... but I got a little irked when we got kicked off the repeater connection though! :chin:

think we rebooted the machine. seems when we try and use remote admin it just fucks echolink up.

we connected to the test server we got audio going up and down.

Thanks for the QSO this afternoon Tony. Made for a nice break from mowing the lawn. I really did just come in for a glass of water and spent the better part of an hour and a half playing with one form or another of ham radio. Have to say I'm somewhat impressed with the ipod touch as a gateway in to your echolink node. Cool stuff.

Yes ....... the repeater audio is awesome!! .....the duplexers definately have cut down on most of the local RF problems Tony ......I will be making regular contacts when time permits..... 8)

I love the 2 meter frequency pair you got for that repeater too..
Here in Illinois according to the local coordinating body that is a simplex freq... I am not sure why they decided to be different and come up with their own band plan instead of just going along with the national one and making that work... But oh well, they run that show.. Not me :)

were only the 2nd odd-split machine in Indiana..

some people have complained about our pair saying we should have put it on a standerd pair.. but I say fuck that. annoying as fuck to sit and hear 2 to 10 other repeaters every time the damn band opens just the slighest bit.

now if I was rich.. id get me a 2,000ft tower and stick the machine on that.. just to annoy the babies even more.

I had an echolink node setup for a little bit there.. And being a fan of a VERY famous repeater in L.A. I wanted to use that freq... No go, a local operator was cussing my node out because it was on "his" frequency.. Funny thing though, he was talking to it like he was expecting it to reply or move on its own, hahahaha...
I did move it to another freq while I had it up though.. Only to get that op to quit his bitching pissing and moaning..

need another computer tower.
need a hard drive for another tower sitting here (ide)
need some audio patch cables to go from pc to pc then to radio
need a 2 meter rig with pl capability.
