CBS news Mike Wallace passed away at 93. I enjoyed his interviews over the years, he was one of the best.

Like Andy Rooney, CBS is losing their legends.

About the last guy you wanted to knock on your door for an interview if you were up to no good.

I just told him to fuck off and leave me alone.

I merged the two threads on Mike Wallace's passing. They were started just minutes apart.

yeah, you don;t find ballplayers like Rooney around anymore. Must have been quite a drawing card when CBS aired baseball.

Thanks. Must have both been composing them at the same time.

Mike Wallace often held a pretty right wing slant. I recall one interview with a black civil rights activist in which he derided her. Wallace was a part of the right wing conservative news media.

Actually it was when he interviewed the playwright, Lorraine Hansberry. Wallace tried as hard as he could to belittle and deride her. Wallace was a total bastard. But Hansberry knew how to handle him, quite calmly and with great dignity.

93, wow. I thought he was at least 100.

I think they dropped off a zero somewhere in the editing process.
