Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction? I can' get away from the television once it's on. I would be there right now but some bitch McDonald's employee stole my lotto ticket and lost it and really CF'd my plans.

What will the red 63 Avanti go for? A little pitting in the chrome but other than that it's cherry. A fantasy bid car, I'll say $42K.

Seen any Deloreans or mid-90's Supras go by? If I ever were in a position to get an "exotic" (well...those two are pretty low-end for "exotic") it'd be one of those. Still not all THAT expensive, either.

I liked the newly shaped Supra of the 80s. These days the one's I've seen out there need a lot of work. Same goes for the late 80s early 90s (?) Nissan 300Z. Seemed so cool back in the day but they weren't well built.

Or, they get abused. I've had very old and beat-up Celicas from the early 70's that were STILL ultra-dependable. But all the used ones I had were severely abused -- the car seemed to built for messin' around with - great fun to work on. And whatever I fixed stayed fixed.

In a road test summary sometime in '94 or '95 the Supra beat a 911 in acceleration, braking, and cornering. Not bad. And they won't break the bank with maintenance.
