View Full Version : Potential for more QRZ Butt Hurt
Both the SP DX (http://www.spdxcontest.info/reg/reg_g.html) (CW and SSB) and EA RTTY (http://www.ure.es/contest/430-ea-rtty-contest.html) contests will be on this coming weekend.
Could make for some entertaining reading.

Ohs noes! The SKCC Weekend Sprintathon: Sunday, April 8, 2012, from 0000-2359 UTC is also going to be ruining the bands. Oh the humanity!

WM3O is such a pot stirrer (http://forums.qrz.com/showthread.php?340840-CQ-Corntest).... :lol:He was getting into it with our boy youtoober, Burt 'OIK, over on another thread. Both got a stern talkin' too.
And naturally, Andre PE1RDW, who appears to despise contests because he doesn't know how to use his radio... yes, I know that doesn't make much sense, but try telling him that... has chimed in as well. What a yutz.

I never had problem with contests. I Just tune in a clear space a few kc between contesters and call CQ on AM.
Seriously, these anti-contesters are so full of shit. Shut the damned radio off and go take a walk and burn off some of that fat. The world will appreciate that you are not blabbering on the airwaves.
We have a winnah (http://forums.qrz.com/showthread.php?340840-CQ-Corntest&p=2515320#post2515320)! (or whiner, if you please)

You saw it there first: An FT-840 and an FT-757GX are "better" than a K3.

:rofl:Not much fun when they make it that easy, is it?
Sheesh, what a maroon. There's not much point to arguing with PE1RDW: Contesters are evil, they don't leave him a 10 kHz clear channel when ever or where ever he chooses to operate. Don't they know how great he is, after all? (Actually, I think they do, which would explain a lot).
He's admitted that his rigs as configured can't cut the mustard. But that's the contesters' fault.
He's admitted that he uses a remote SDR to listen, which is known to have some issues (including misreading the receive frequency). But that's the contesters' fault.
Heck, he even complains when a short term (24 hour or less) contest has stopped, and the bands are quiet. Too quiet; obviously, that's the contester's fault as well.
Get that man a pet halibut. Because he must be a looney...

This from a man who uses a remote SDR receiver, because his home station is relatively deaf. Brilliant.

lololol I love my 840, but alas, I'd love a K3 better.
