The were the only support org. that actually knew something about the 3D enable situation. As I'd concluded from google-fu, so far this particular issue isn't in the data base yet - the technology is too new. The guy I talked to in person was a good guy & knew what he was talking about.

Totally agree - tech support has become a crap shoot as to whether you get someone good. Here, the key may have been that I went into the store in person, like the telephone support person suggested. Made a world of difference.
