I thought the plot was a bit hackneyed, but I thought the movie made several hypothesis that were worth mulling over. All the political issues we have today ie 1%ers, poor and healthcare, guns, and even crime were brought up in the movie. The difference in the movie is that everything had more finality. According to the movie, everybody lived to 25 free of charge, after that your body clock started ticking down and if you didn't recharge it, you die at age 26. So generally, everybody had to work like the dickens to have time added to their body clock so they could keep living. Also money no longer mattered, everything you wanted had to be payed for with time off your life. Of course the rich had millions of years and the poor literally lived minute by minute. If you see the movie, I believe you will see several premises discussed in today's politics engaged by the movie. It kind of made me think.
