Dutch company Koninklijke Eijsbouts has been commissioned to make a massive new bell for the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris.
The new bell, named Marie, will weigh 6,000 kilos and will have a diameter of 1.6 metres. Marie is a sister bell to the south tower's Emmanuel, cast in 1686 but now too frail to be used apart from on special occasions, according to the Independent (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/the-bells-the-bells-why-notre-dame-is-ringing-the-changes-7440657.html).
'In total, there will be nine new bells and we are making the largest one,' deputy director Joep van Brussel is quoted as saying. The new bells will be placed in Notre Dame next year for the cathedral's 850th anniversary celebrations.
According to the BBC (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-17125549), the new bells will sound much more like the original medieval bells than those currently in use.

( Never knw we made that chit too...;))

We had to come up with something new, beads and mirrors didn't work anymore as with the injuns we bought the country from there ;)

The only remaining problem is transporting the bell to the cathedral. Just some logistics to work out.

I hear that they're asking right now "how do you solve a problem like Marie?", ah, or something like that.

It's time we give this country back to those Injuns. I would gladly leave the country if they would give it back to its rightful owners. I should be living somewhere in Europe where I rightfully belong. Not in a stolen country.
