he was on a buisness jet forgot what kind it was (falcon? IIRC). using the aircraft hf radio. i got in/out as quick as possible since so many were trying to get him.
I worked a commercial pilot on 10M several years ago - at the time, his jet (a 'heavy') was located over Cincy. Talk about your pile-ups...

Very cool. Worked a commercial jet over the Canary Islands a few years back. I mentioned it to a ham friend who said something about, "That's illegal." Huh? Must have been misinformed.

KF8RX was a freight pilot years ago. He took his HT with him. He would log several hundred on 146.52 per trip. What a footprint!

I worked VE3RMJ who was about the same height piloting an Air Canada A340 back to Toronto from Las Vegas September 26th 2011..... I must admit it's just plain cool to get through a pileup to an A/M !!
ETA: worked him on 14.275 of all places..... :-D

The last time I heard a 20M A/M was back in 90something and what made it particularly interesting was it was one of the few DC-3 island hoppers left in regular service. It proves that Hard To Kill is more than just a movie.
