Since you have the horse power. You need the RF power. The original General Lee used a Realistic CB. I don't remember the model? :( QRO all the way!

General Lee promoted the politics of the Confederacy.
As the Congress does, CBers are constantly on Break Break.
When you see what politicians do, all you can say is "Mercy Sakes".
There are millions of 'em.

In politically correct terms, no doubt.

Excellent observation Cor...
The original CB'ers were Goldwater CB'ers. Licensed and followed protocol. Mostly.
The new breed CB'ers are indeed Teabagger CB'ers. They operate out of shacks. Most have two holes and a crescent moon on them. They run around in red cars with the confederate flag on the roof doing a rebel yell. They've subverted the licensing program here and, emboldened, have subverted the code requirement. What's next? Amateur testing and vanity fees. :neener: :P

I just remembered the 70's AM CB.
Polite, nice, easygoing here then, some nice qso's with the states.
Led me to do the exams to get my license, i was just on CB for a few months.
Looking around on the CB forums i don't recogise the old days.
But then, Ham radio did change too..
CB here is almost dead, since years, listening with my radio i hear just now and then a weak station.
I can't transmit there, but have a superstar 3900 F somewhere, with frequency counter and 6? bands, traded in on a batch of stuff, still have to rebuild it to 10 meters...
Or just dump it and put the Ft 100 in the van ;)
