well I just hooked up some rg59. took 2 60ft chunks made a 75m dipole..

tunes 20 good. but misses 40.

downside the cable is way to heavy for my support. so it will have to come down..

downside to that im out of wire... and out of cash

All of my 75m dipoles have been that way over the years. Works on 20 and 75. Dont much like to tune on 40. Not that it matters I have a dipole for 40, dipole for 75, and beam for 20/15/17, beam for 10, beam for 6. ..Actually storm took out my 40m dipole. I was gonna put it back up, however there isnt much of a point atm.

wish i could have a beam up here. but that wont fly. ill get a bitch fest in the morning cause of the "wire" i have now up.

going to have to find some speaker wire or something to use. so its more invisiable

I will be losing access to beams shortly myself. Will have to use a portable antenna. And I will be running qrp. Challenge time. Im up for it.

I just happen to live with anti-radio family. so truthfully I could be forced off-air at any time.

I saw plans that use coax as radiators. Three quarter wavelengths on each leg. Connect the balun to the outer braid on each leg the remove 2/3rds of the braid from the quarter wavelength point out to the end on each leg. Make sure the braid never makes physical contact with the center conductor. The center conductor should be sealed from weather AND any possibility of contact with the braid. Seal the braid from weather on both ends too as moisture will change the capacitor effect. Yes, essentially the first quarter wave on each leg is a giant capacitor. It works even better as a doublet if you feed it with windowline that is one quarter wavelength then connect that to your balun then to your coaxial feedline.
How does it work? I don't know but you reminded me of this design just now. It will tune 80-10 if you start your dimensions for an 80m at 3/4 waves each leg.

yea prob is im noticing coax is way to heavy for the balun and the weak ass support im stuck using.

right now i got everything tossed up on the roof. cource im just testing things for the hell of it.

I have to find some invisi wire to keep the bitchfest ww3 from happining so i can actually string things to trees

well by making a sorta wanna be kinda loop laying on the roof I went from 10 over to S9 to WI.

damn I wish i didnt have all this damn noise

Your 80m antenna should work passably well on 30m, also.
