Worked W6ASO in OR this evening as I was debugging the Signalink/software configuration.

Found out that TX audio passband plays a HUGE role in how far you can mouse around the waterfall without actually having to retune the rig. With the '940's stock filter I'm good from about 900Hz to around 2.1KHz. I have a CFJ455K12 floating around here that I can swap and it should give me a bit more low-end response.

Now if I can only get DM780 and HRD to play nice with the setup...

I once made a PSK31 contact with a local friend who was transmitting into a dummy load. He was only a couple of miles away but it none the less demonstrates how little signal it takes to make a good QSO with that mode.

Its addictive, QRPp is almost as good as with CW. My best was 0.5w to Eu.

I'll say this:

With the amount of I've seen DX hanging out in the 20M window, one could easily work DXCC in a weekend. ANY weekend.

Still hear some activity on 20 here. It was really hopping here this afternoon when we we got back home.

Glad to hear you got the rig working there Fred. Too bad we couldn't connect on Friday. Maybe next time. Since tomorrow is supposed to be another near 80 degree day here, I may take the 817 out back, sit in the sun, and and try some PSK with it on 20. I just have to make up a different cable and pgm plug for the SignaLink.

No remote ops today, my connectivity between the YL's place and mine is a bit laggy.

So Teamviewer is being a PITA. I'll switch back to Tight VNC and open a weird port.
