If this was a trendy highschool yearbook, I might say "what a strange and wild ride it's been", because it has. I don't think stranger and more exciting things happen in a person's entire lifetime. I love where I'm at and I hope everyone is experiencing the same good fortunes.

2011 has been marred by tragedy, illness, joy, and generally awesome things.

I'm not going to get overly sappy, but I said this to a friend moments ago "2011 may have been the best year of my life." I mean that in the most sincere way possible.. the support of my family (especially) and friends has been overwhelming. Happy New Year, may 2012 be even better than 2011 -- one and all!

This year has been the best. 13 years with the wifey, 11 years with kids, and 7 years of not being in the military. Every year gets better :)

May the very best go out to ya'll here :)

My wife and I got married on 11-01-11. She gifted with the Dragon ring.

Maybe I'll go for a ride or work on antennas. If I don't work on antennas, the 40m doublet is still up.

It was a secret until we told ... Mom.
What? Like 16 and a half years together doesn't count for anything?
Apparently not if your folks are Catholic.

Happy New Year to all! The years have kept getting better here & I see no reason for that not to continue. And to all of you great family and friends on the Island a big thank you for the well wishes. It's definitely working!!!!!

And my No. 1 resolution is to meet more of you face-to-face. C'mon out to the hamfests, especially you people in the NE. They're great & it's always nice to meet people in the flesh that I've only known through bits and bytes and pixels. But y'know...it's obvious now with the things we've been through recently --one's heart and soul can travel through the digital medium. And there's lots and lots of heart and soul on Island!

Happy New Year, all!!!

beautiful day here. Kindly painful, but looks nice.
Extra car in the driveway and a strange guitar in the man cave, but can't seem to find the owner of these items? :dunno:

OK. Sorry. It looks so retro though. I guess I've forgotten that some people still looked like that in 92. I remember the last poodle hair style on a man in 1988. After that, the mullet was really into its own and more recently the skullet. I guess those were the mullets that lost their front hair.

The bride is not a ham. Everyone else is... including the unseen photographer, who was her uncle.

When is it appropriate to tell a woman that you're a ham?

K7SGJ
01-02-2012, 06:45 PM
Right before you tell her you've been cheating on her. It takes some of the sting out of the fact that you are a ham.

When is it appropriate to tell a woman that you're a ham?Kind of hard to hide when you have a 2 meter mobile in your van... let alone that plus a TS-120, and three hamsticks on the back.

It didn't hurt that her favorite uncle (the one who took her to Forbes Field to watch baseball games) was a ham, too.

We mark 20 years in a couple of weeks. Sometimes, hell, most of the time, I don't believe it either.

We have our 29th coming up on tax day. It is amazing that my wife has put up with me all these years. But then we've been through some very trying times, and like they say, "what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger". Or something like that.

Happy Anniversary.

Hows the van? :stickpoke: :lol:The Urban Assault Vehicle is long gone, sad to say. It was a 79 Chevy Van that I picked up used for a pittance. Got about 5 good years out of it, but the engine was in poor shape when I got it, and I wasn't able to do much more with it. Had a great interior, though... panelled and carpeted, yes, the previous owner had pimped it out inside.
