I got a cal from a friend this morning (a friend who thinks I know everything about every computer in the world). He wants to know why he seems to suddenly be getting CHKDSK errors quite often when he reboots his Windows laptop. Being I am not a Windpws person I am not sure. I guess it would be similar to getting disc errors on a *nix system which could indicate a corrupted/damaged filesystem that needs repair or, a possible failing hard drive.
In any case, any ideas on what he should do ? Should he run "chkdsk" to scan and fix any errors ? Any suggestions ??
