Worth a 50?

A section for interesting Ebay listings may be of interest to everyone. Kind of like a Show & Tell of other people's stuff.

That's actually kind of an interesting item. It might be worth fifty bucks to someone who knows enough to build up the power supply and re-cap it.

Yeah, but the warranty is only +$179, however the shipping is free. Probably could buy round trip air, hand deliver it, and still make a killing. The bastid

(Seriously)

Given they don't show up on eBay very often, I'm looking for an old Communications Power (CPI) CB rig and base console accessory - the CP2000 and BC2000. If anyone who happens across this posting has either (preferably, both) please PM me with details. Or e-mail me at my callsign at neo.rr.com.

We hear that word used all the time on broadcast TV nowadays. Let me guess: Someone got the vapors upon seeing the word in print and claimed it damaged little Tommy for life upon his reading the article.

(That is, if little Tommy actually can read.)

Hello? Well, maybe not THAT rig. (;->)

"Put those speakers in the trunk of a Bentley matched up with a good Lafayette reverb unit and you got yourself a ride."

Not a Bentley but a Laughingyet reverb and a rear speaker in a '59 Chevy did it for me. It really took off when I changed the carbon mic element for crystal in an old PTT handset from an Army field phone and hooked it up to the Hallicrafters CD-3A with a steel whip on the rear deck, instant mobile phone that turned heads cruisin' down Broad Street in Elizabeth. Remember cruisin' and honk for Cousin Brucie? I was probably the only one who didn't, I was listening to Murray The K And The Swingin' Soiree. Those were the days of Louie-Louise but that's another story and a prank I'll never forget.

They don't call it Lake Eerie for nothing, Atlantis is down there so where do you think ancient radios come from? It could be worse, Lake Huron, in Detroit they pronounce it Lake Urine.
