It's finally here! After waiting all year long it's finally here!
NATIONAL FLASHLIGHT DAY IS HERE!
OH GOODY GOODY GOODY GOODY GOODY GOODY!
Today, let us all get out our flashlights and appreciate them. Check the batteries, make sure you have back up batteries and bulbs, polish the shafts and clean the hoods.

Whether your flashlight be big or small, Maglite or Rayovac, Eveready or Coleman, let us all remember them and set aside this day to care and appreciate our oft forgotten until we need them friends.

I've got my incandescent EverReady flashlight, my high intensity quartz halogen flashlight and my ultra high intensity metal-halide HID flashlight/spotlight.

Which dim-wit came up with this idea? Or would it be more appropriate to say "dim-bulb"?

Well, that brightened my day, but usually I use matches.

Note to self.....don't attempt to polish matches any more.

Must have been the incandescent lamp flashlight owner, feeling a bit left out with all the new LED/HID lights around ;)

The time to celebrate my favorite flashlight of all time. This one has been a workhorse. As a flashlight its been a real reliable workhorse. Bright, reliable, convenient, "light" weight...everything a flashlight oughta be. And without the usual "switch contact" screw-ups. It'll work on either 2 or 4 AA's. All around the BEST!

And, pull it apart, and it's a great light inside the tent. Just use a caribiner to hang it from a ceiling loop. For that, I usually use two for more light.

Especially a Dietz Monarch !! Dietz was manufactured in upstate New York up into the early 1990's. sadly they are no longer made in NY. They moved their manufacturing to China. Fortunately I have a couple of authentic "made in NYS USA" Dietz lamps.

Hello.

How about a 10,000,000 candlepower spotlight on an APU-equipped Bell 47?

I can't remember when I've been more impressed by a flashlight.
