By contrast, there's an (allegedly) working version of the same scope for sale, starting bid $19.99 (no takers yet). I'm tempted, but when you consider almost $25 more for shipping, I can probably spend the same number of shekels locally and just take one home.

My bubble was burst when I found on on the 'zed that there are kits out there that will turn any 'scope into that clock. And here I thougt it a was one-off HB article. Well, it's sexy anyway. But I wonder how long it til it burns the screen? Seems there'd be a time-out screen blanker.
