Excellent!

There's not a darn thing happening on 10 (or 11...or 12) at the moment here, but I'll wager the band is up during my work hours. :wall:

On the way home I heard a G8 working a pileup , this was about 1510 UTC. He was LOUD. I'll keep an ear on 28.34 when I'm in the Jeep. The WX should be nice for the next few days, so I'll be on 2 wheels. No, I'm not going top put a 10 meter rig on the Honda.

The lower end of 17 sounded like channel 19 here today, couldn't make anything out it was so crammed with tx.

One of the quicker QSOs. Still a lot of QSB as the band wakes up. Maybe try again in a little bit?

I'll stay on .34 , listening . I figured out my monitor is causing some noise here , so turning that off may help . Conditions improved during the day yesterday , so maybe we'll get lucky .

It's only 20 miles, George. ;)

You have the distinction of being the first islander for me on 10m. When are the other bands going to come along?

20 miles but my antenna is only 15 feet up.
I have all HF bands here except 60 meters.

There was a steady parade of stations , from all over the planet working him . My station here is very limited , and may never be able to work him in a crowd . Time to get the Field Unit deployed somewhere , so I can have a bit more to work with . We're overdue for an operating event , anyway .

I just don't get that. They've been there for 3 weeks. I've listened to them several times on 15m SSB begging for contacts, simplex.

Must be limited. You're at a lower latitude and closer than I am. If anything, you should have an easier time of it than me.

Worked Germany and Poland this morning on 10m USB, was on the air for less than 20 minutes.

Now I have to go to work. :(

I'd guess 10 is a bit more populated than 15 . Regardless , I'm glad that they are still kicking . I've just gotten the station going again here , barely , with a Radio Shack HTX-10 (25w SSB ) , and a MFJ hamstick clone clamped to the clothesline pole outside . I may borrow a multiband rig in the near future , and have some hopes for digital modes either way . Meanwhile , this setup beats nothing at all , if only by a little bit .
