I think they are wrong. Dominant technology is that will bring to people what they want - now, portable and independent.

Have you noticed that almost all Smart TV/DVD players lack web browsers, only applications that they want you to use. They also cripple/prohibit viewing of selected websites - Big losers.

What do you think?

I have a Samsung with the wireless stuff. Haven't used it much, but it has some sort of browser.

We did the same after using the same 23 inch for the last 15 years or so, we got a Samsung LED. Still haven't figured how to work it all yet.

Catching up a bit here...

My "home theater" consists of a 46" Samsung LCD display and a Yamaha - driven sound system with JBL speakers (7.1). Kind of old now; receiver is a Yamaha RXV-1800. Everything is wired via HDMI. It'll do a kilowatt of AF, no sweat and no distortion. Jethro Tull still kicks ass.

Can't play it large these days though. Got little kids here who aren't yet into critical thinking.
