Really badass Aurora video from NASA as the ISS follows a pass from Madagascar to Australia over the Indian Ocean.

This sequence of shots was taken September 17, 2011 from 17:22:27 to 17:45:12 GMT,

Even though that is top down, it almost makes me homesick for the Great White North. I've seen dozens of auroral displays in my life, and they are gorgeous.

Indeed. I've never seen one of those displays. Non existant in these neck of the woods. I guess I should get out of the cave a little more often.

Remember July 1968? Back then, we all assumed we'd have space tourism by now.

Dr. Smith fuked it up for all of us.That was his function on the show. Evil comic relief and constant trouble-maker.

I do not get excited about the aurora's light show anymore. I have a 100% rate of heavy cloud cover for the last 35 years so, phuckette.

Probably Cannicumulus. Not so uncommon around the occasional Island Hut.
