Forecast high of 53f tomorrow..

And.. A cold front brings the first threat of overnight freeze to the Upper Midwest on Wednesday. Frost and freeze advisories are in effect for most of North Dakota, Minnesota, and northern Wisconsin..

That was an awfully fast summer. :blah:

Last Winter was freakin' ridiculous cold even for the SE. Spring was violent as hell with floods. Summer was hotter than hell with sporadic violent winds and droughts with floods. It's still dry here and 92 while the NE drains. Jebus, will it calm down enough to enjoy some weather.
The Weather Channel will need to spin off a new network to cover it all.

The aspens will start their yearly show at the higher altitudes very soon. I'll try to take some (usually crappy) pictures. There will be a lengthy cruis or three up to some serious mountain passes soon. It's cool, and drizzly today. Feels great!

61° F and overcast here. It's begun to feel like autumn even on the Islets of Langerhans. We will probably have another warm spell or two before fall really kicks in, however—this is the time of year for the Santa Ana winds.

Winter is the best season of all here on the Islets of Langerhans. The weather is comfortable instead of hot and all the freakin' Zonies have gone home to drive 55 in the fast lane in Phoenix instead of here.

We didn't break out of the 60's today, windy with light rain. We need several days of good rain badly, and have chances between 20 - 50% for the next 6 days.

High in the mid-60s tomorrow here. Hope they get those roads fixed upstate in time for the oil trucks to make their deliveries. There's still some places that are cut off from the world from when Irene hit.

Rode the Connie into work this morning in a chilly rain. Waterproof suit for the win, but the cold front which cleared the afternoon skies is definitely making its presence felt.

Time to dig out the electric clothes and put the tall windshield back on the bike. :-?

"Urge for going..."

"We gather together..."

And so on.

When the weather's hot and sticky
That's no time for dunkin dickey
But, when the frost is on the pumpkin
That's the time for dickey dunkin.

Some of you might not have heard Tom Rush singing "Urge for Going", written by Joni Mitchell. It was HUGE in Boston in he 60's and wonderfully catches autumn in New England.
