Went to an area deli for dinner (courtesy of 'DSG).

Food is excellent.

Their selection of 300+ beers is even better.

Sitting down right now with a takeout bottle of Mokah - one of the STB's 'Black Water' series. At $9.00 per 22oz bottle the stuff had better be good - and it is. Three swallows later and the room is pleasantly fuzzy.

If chocolate stouts are your thing I highly recommend this.

I brewed a Chocolate Oatmeal Stout years ago, and the recipe included a little bit of peppermint.

It was very tasty. And the peppermint "finish" was subtle and really nice.

BTW, it was not very sweet at all. Bakers chocolate was used.

Southern Tier makes some very solid offerings. Chocolate Stouts can be quite decadent, making them very desirable sippers.
