"...get your kicks,
On Rt. 66..."

Another piece of Americana which is slowly fading into the history books. And into the desert.

Some days I wish I had a time machine.

Shouldn't they be calling it "Interstates 10, 15, 40, 44 and 55 On The Air?" I'll admit it doesn't have quite the same ring to it but it is more accurate.

Doesn't matter, I like it, and will be looking for them. Cool event station, really!

That's a cool one.
I got to say hello to Martin Milner hangin out at one of stations years back.
That's my only famous moment AR story to date...
Fun one to chase around, but I've yet to get all of them in one year.

oops...I worked the Navajo windtalker group too. Famous AR story II.

The highway itself still exists for the most part, although many portions of it have "lost" their US Highway designation. And in some states, the US Highway number was replaced with a State Route Number 66. I recall seeing just such a sign when I was out west with the 1st wife, many many moons ago.
