Well, tonight was the first night I didn't need air conditioning in a long time. Temperatures are about 57 deg right now. The first subtle hint of the approaching change of seasons. Another week or so and schools will be reopening. Mornings will have more and ,more of that nip and the air as days grow shorter and shorter and nights grow longer. Leaves will be turning yellow, red, then brown and falling from the trees. Summer will soon exit the stage. Let's give summer a round of applause.

Let the winter come.
160 will be booming and the new inverted L will be tested to the limit with the FT 2000 D and Heathkit SB- 1000.
Summer here was a dud anyway....

August has been lovely for most part in FM06. Quite a few < 70F wee hour nights. July was brutal.
Now if everyone would please aim their arses to the east , fart, and blow Irene eastward ca 100 miles over the next few I will not bitch.
I do not, mind you , want a cat3 coming in tracking due north from the NC/SC coastline up through my yard...Got that...
Please makes this one play over the water...no land hits....
Anyhoo...fall will be welcomed with open arms baby.

It's still mighty hot here, but it will mellow out soon. Predicted high temp of 97 today.

I'm gonna take the hard top off the Miata today, and finally go topless.

Sorry if I'm too far north of you to be of much help directly but the atom powered station with a gas powered operator does have a solution. Open the attachment and store the file in a safe place, then run it when and if needed.

There's a cold front going through here, too. It's a balmy 112 out at the well.

Doesn't look like the jetstream will be pushing into the south enough to help with deflection away from the mid Atlantic.

How do you like your Heathkit SB- 1000.. I have one sitting on the bench waiting to be retrofitted with meter protection diodes along with an HV glitch resistor.
