I just reread this and realized I didn't read it right the first time. The GF's machine runs Vista and does something similar. Are you running Vista?

Board feature that saves your post in case you accidentally navigate away from the page. It's so you don't have to start all over.

Thank god, I'm so often navigating away when composing a post.
To shut down my laptop I have to click:
Start
shut down
force shutdown
(are you sure you want to force shutdown, any work you have will be lost) Yes

It's like the whole thing is designed primarily for women.

It's like the whole thing is designed primarily for women.How many times have you had something happen, beyond your control, that caused you to lose a post before hitting submit? Mercy!
