This is the German Ford drag car I ran back in the 70's

I just located this picture of the same car Atco dragway in the 60's , shortly after it was built into a drag car. It was primer black with orange tinted windows. Power was provided by an Olds V-8. It was also before the roof was chopped 3" . Check out those white walls

Ran into a guy (fellow ham) the other day who is familiar with the track. He lived near Philly about the time you were campaigning those...

Ah yes Atco, on the western edge of the Wharton Tract, state land in the Pine Barrens and advertized on the Philly radio stations. For me it was Raceway Park in Englishtown, I'll never forget that famous PAMS spot on WABC that started off with that same high pitched laughing voice as Wipeout by The Chantays. Hey, did the F16s from the 117th Fighter Wing NJANG get around to it yet? They've bombed and strafed pretty much everything for 50 miles around the Warren Grove Range so I just thought I'd ask.

I went to Atco once, my friends and I were Cecil County fans. My first experience there was Jungle Jim Lieberman's '67 Chevy II funny car. I was hooked.

That was Jungle Jim Liberman, not Lieberman. Very common error, though.

Not too shabby! Rowing right up there with Dandy Dick.
Was that with the Olds motor?

Love your avatar George, but aren't you concerned about the black helicopters buzzing your place, and the LSD in your tap water?

Now I remember where I've seen that look before.
