I noticed something peculiar that I can't figure out. You can find items like cell phone batterize sold via Amazon at discounted prices. So, lets say you but the item. With your purchase the seller includes a link to his business web site. But on his web site he is selling the same, or similar, batteries at a higher price. What is up with that ? Why would they sell the item at a lower price through Amazon ? It doesn't seem to make sense when they can make more money per sale selling it directly at the higher price ? Can anyone explain this phenomenon ?

This is a common business practice and MFJ does the same thing. If you're a large distro you get up to a 30% discount so that you can sell to the public at a 10 to 15% discount. Usually though, this means that the distro must deal with returns.

And we all know that due to the high quality of the product, MFJ never has any returns.
