I picked one up Sat. night. It's truly tiny....about 4"x1"x3/4", and it stores the leads conveniently. Perfect for field applications.
I was looking for something like this becuause none of the meters I have are really suitable for field work. Too big and heavy. I've got a small RS meter, but it still has the leads problem...you know....no matter how well you think you've stowed them, they'll STILL get all balled up.
This tiny auto-range DMM is $30 (or maybe $40) and for six bucks you can get a replacement warrantee that even covers the batteries going dead. It's got 3 lithium cells, so, just in case, it could be a good thing.
Checked the RS website and couldn't find it there. Dunno if it's brandy-new and hasn't been put on their site yet, or if I was in the right place at the right time.
AND, the two counter people in that RS (Kent, CT) were knowldegable, friendly and helpful. Not to mention cute ladies!
