Figured it had to be Johnize. The light starts here at 3:55 AM and sort of dies at 9:00 PM. You can see the glow of the sun constantly as it passes over the north this time of year

Cold is good! And I agree with John, I much rather shorter days. Though this last few weeks the days and nights have become one large blur as they used to do some time back. These next two weeks need to go by faster my bed seems so empty with just me in it >< . Btw found a good sleeping aid xD.
Don't bother me either way. Hot or cold, long nights or long days. Life is just like that. Just when you run out of things to whine about...
WHAM!
Something else comes along. Now, hangnails... THAT'S something to whine about.

Longer days, more time to work on the antenna farm.
More time to sit in the garden, laptop coffee sun = dandy.
Warm weather ( mostly) meaning less layers of clothing to stifle you.
Swimming.

I guess to each their own. Some like warm weather and sun. Others prefer colder weather and dark. Right now the sun worshippers are having their day. But in a few months us night lovers will be flying our victory rolls.

"Longer days, more time to work on the antenna farm." That's flawed. Sure, there's more hours, but the wx is usually unsuitable for antenna erection. It's too warm and can be downright comfortable. It's in the winter that the truly outstanding antenna building wx happens, and the short hours of daylight are just one more challenge!

Me too. But giving John the benefit of the doubt, he was probably just shortening "Long Day's Journey into Night."

Not here. The later sunrise is offset by later sunset. According to the Old Farmers Almanac, it takes about two weeks before we lose the first minute a day.
