Oh yeah, they're hurting and need more tax breaks and deregulation. Bust up the pilot unions and hire school kids to attend to the passengers and well, they might break even.
Don't forget the anal probes!

Being lied to seems to be the new norm....

Spirit Airlines is now charging for carry on bags larger than a purse or laptop bag. :wtf:

Pretty soon they're going to put a credit card machine on the bathroom door.. $5 for #1, $10 for #2.. or perhaps they'll weigh you on your way in/out and charge per volume.

Jerks.

It's what happens when you surrender anonymity.

The airlines here can't slip in extra costs.
The price for a ticket needs to be in full with all extra's, or they get a hefty fine from the European commission.

You left out understaffing ATC at busy airports.

You left out understaffing ATC at busy airports.
You're right and it should be included.
Let's also not forget all the under the radar pay-offs from the baggage manager grunts to the town governments where the airports themselves are located. I tell ya what, we're about like Mexico with all the backroom deals, backscratching and hands washing each other.

We're worse than Mexico in that we continue with the pretense of honesty in government. In Mexico, no one has any illusions about what's really going on.

"New?"

It's not that new. The absolute blatant manner of their lies is what is 'newish.' They are so arrogant that they assume every American is dumber than a bag of hammers and they make no beef about that and thus the lies grow bigger, like Pinocchio's nose.

Well put.
