Does it really matter what Q the coil is? You're getting "only" 200 miles on 75 because of the size and height of the antenna, not what Q the coil has.

The reason 40 is working better is because the size and effective height on that band is better than it is on 80m.

Is it me, or does the second linked post show a lack of understanding about antennas as it pertains to effective height above ground?
