I finally got some good news. I had a PET scan, and blood-work, and poke, prod, and
violated. I am now officially in remission for one year!!!!!. Cancer seems to run in my family. It has taken my baby brother, and both paternal grand parents. maternal grandparents, and two maternal aunts.

If you are over 40 get your ass to the doctor, and get a full physical. Get cancer screenings. If you have family, YOU OWE THEM! Cancer can be beat, if caught in the early stages. My brother was diagnosed too late. I was diagnosed when the cancer was in the baby stages. Please do this for the ones you love.

A public health service announcement from N8TB.

Been doing that for a while.

Every two years I undergo the ol' "Two-Quart Prep" ( :yuck: ) and get inspected from the outside in. As enthusiastic as those folks are, I'm firmly convinced one of them thinks I stole his Jaguar and parked it up there ... :wtf:

Allow me to add my congrats, as well, and to underscore your advice about dox. We often fear the news we think we will hear, and sometimes postpone going because of that fear. It is always stupid to delay.

You have my very best hopes and wishes that your remission is long and solid.

Thankfully, colon cancer grows slowly at first. I had a 6 month check up, and now it will be annual.

I'm glad it was detected before having spread, and that you've made a full recovery. You definitely did the right thing in being proactive re: exams.

Changing the subject briefly: What do you have online for 6M SSB? Nicki has been bugging me to ask you that, and says she wants to give my 726R a workout vis a QSO. It's too bad that Springfield is such a drive, else I would haul her down there for another pitcher or three ... :snicker:

At least the polarities and the power are similar - 10w and a Diamond 6/2/440 vertical at 50ft here...

Great to hear it, Tim!

Just had my "annual" two days ago; no bad news; for what I can't control, I have pills, and they appear to work.
