When I tried to use FF in the hotel here, it kept telling me that the server had an invalid certificate and refused to connect with the outside world. So, I'm stuck using IE. Yuck! Think I'll try Chrome.

Anyway...if you're in a hotel and FF doesn't work, try another browser.

Your hotel's captive portal sucks. I guess you're not running Firefox 4? It lets you bypass those SSL warnings pretty easily now (again).

I'm using the latest...but didn't want to fart raound with it. And, the pop-up that related the bad news gave me no option. Besides, unless it's a life and death situation, I'm not gonna mess with my machine to accommodate some non-standard server -- FF has worked with every other hotel internet ever.

I prefer FF4 and Chrome, but IE9 is not horrible compared to previous versions.

Yea, it's not too bad -- it just doesn't have all my bookmarks or stored stuff. Maybe I can import them, though -- I'll try later when I'm not about to qwerty-face (falling asleep at the keyboard).

Good news. Chrome works just fine. Now, I gotta take a shower; I feel so dirty after using IEwhatever!

I've noticed that Chrome will sneak itself on to your desktop either with Malwarebytes or CC Cleaner. At least that's what I think happened this week.

Lol always custom install programs and you wont get that unwanted junk.

Forgot to mention that I dont go to hotels alone so I normally have something that preoccupies me thus keeping me off the pc so this will not be an issue.
