Whatever triumph that boy might have felt in the school bus that day, it will come nowhere close to the shame he's about to carry around with him for the rest of his life, knowing his mother had to craft that "farting runs in the family" excuse note for him and send it to the local paper.

The really sad thing is how this is a reflection of a conservative Puritan society that creates its own criminals out of thin air.

It is also sad that because of the nanny Puritan ideas that the GOP embraces that I have to show proof of age to buy a tire pump because some kids were having a fart contest using said pumps.

I prefered the term "Raffinosicly challenged". Especially when used in letters from Mom.
It just seems to smell nicer under that guise.

That's actually called 'sharding'.
Seems to me that a fart suspension would have both the fart itself and the surrounding room air at approximately the same temperature.
