Don't give up but you got to expect some heat for the avatar. I have issues as well but it's not worth giving up over.

I thought the avatar was offensive, and juvenile. Maybe, that is why I liked it. That is why this forum rocks. Teh Zed did not like miy avatar either, and made me change it. My replacement is subtle, and aimed @ them, they obviously don't get it.

I wish you, and your family all the best. It is my sincere hope that the adversity you both face ends today.

Sorry, but I don't have much respect for anyone who can dish it out but can't take it in return. The avatar WAS offensively racist, and the rationale for posting it was self-indulgent and puerile. Stress often makes us do or say things we would not otherwise do or say, but to build up a rationale to defend the indefensible strips the "stress" excuse away.

People on this forum have strong opinions, and most express them strongly -- perhaps too much so on occasion, but that is part of the give-and-take that a forum like this entails. Can't stand the heat? Get the hell out of the kitchen.

I never even really noticed what your avatar was. Why leave? Seriously? I don't think it's in really good taste but neither is half the shit I post so who am I to say anything?
