They forgot to mention that they had to walk barefoot six mile through the snow—uphill both ways—to do any of that.

They didn't walk, they used Segways.

Good point. Okay, they had to ride their Segways barefoot six mile through the snow—uphill both ways—to do any of that

Hello.

Good god, I remember when you dialed a call, on a dial, a little wheel you pushed around with your finger.
Before that you had to tell an operator what number you wanted, you could not just do it yourself, you had to talk to somebody, but it was somebody from your area, someone you could actually understand!

When I was working for [classified] we were building a supercomputer we had enormous amounts of bubble memory. Basically an entire building full of it.

Hell yea, I had a Sharp portable computer that used bubble memory cartridges.

Sold it when I got the original HP 110 "The Portable", one of the first decent laptops.

I like the old ways best, too. For example this "new" math sux. For those who remember Ma and Pa Kettle, they did math the right way.
