There's a few avatars of people that are pretty obscure, at least to me, and it'd be fun to know who they are.
That's Michael Parks from Then Came Bronson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Then_Came_Bronson) in my current avatar.

A one hit wonder if memory serves me.
Mine is Father Jack Hackett from the Channel 4 TV programme Father Ted. I was accused of being quite like Father Jack and it has stuck over these recent year.

Father Ted is a great one.
Always liked Whitey on George.
Charles had the pissed off Santa way back on Zedski which I thought was funny as hell.
Rob has the ultimate chill in the chair.

The human is me and the other member of my avatar is my late best friend Kodiak. He died in November 2008 at almost 15 years old. I honor his memory by using this picture on all forums that allow avatars.
Mine is from an old 60s TV show called T.H.E. Cat. The THE part stood for Thomas Hewitt Edward - Cat. Found out that the part was played by a very young and in shape Robert Loggia, who went on to play cops and mafioso when he got older.
Mine is how my Aspie brain thinks I look most of the time. But, I don't wear über baggy jeans or sports team shirts.

Zero Mostel was a fantastic actor. I remember seeing him as the original Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway.
Oh, nothing special about that avatar. It's from a Pirates STH event, a couple of years ago. Little Miss Field Day took the picture... the boss was working that day, and had been complaining that since I take all the pictures, she didn't have any of me. That's as close as I got to batting practice (I wasn't waiting in line, LMFD was).

After 36 years of feeling bad about my body I've finally been afforded the opportunity to feel good about it for the last four years. I make no apology for the way I may presently come across as a result. Yes I'm fucking hot and I know it. If that bothers some people all I can say is OH WELL. I enjoy my life and I love my body, my friends and my family. Last night and today were a regular sexapalooza in my house. I enjoy sex and I enjoy my body and I make no apology for that either.
Aside from all that, isn't your avatar supposed to be about yourself? How is posting a picture of part of you, narcissistic?

I made this one during my last heavy bout of chronic binge drinking.
Assumed I was making a regular spectacle out of myself around here and used put up this avatar as a public service type of signage.
Just to inform the other Islanders that I was wasted, so please don't take what I was saying to heart.
Now I just put it up because I think it's funny. Didn't really start out very funny though.

One evening a dragonfly got into my room. Very unusual tto find them come into a home. It was a most amazing insect. It gave me an interesting display of it's flying ability, stopping and hovering in midair and then darting forward and stopping again. Then he stopped to rest on the corner of a bookshelf and I got some really nice closeup pictures. In the morning I released him back outside.

It was when I was growing up. I lived in a very noisy area of the city and the only way to get away was to do a bit of 'traveling' (without drugs). Oddly enough, years later I changed my telephone number and got a random one. Out of thousands of numbers, it was one digit off of a local bar. The name of the bar?

No. It is a former Kansas politician.
The only Kansas politicians I can think of are Bob Dole and John Brown. The gent in the picture isn't Dole and he doesn't have a beard so he ain't John Brown either.

In the 1970s, Kansas Attorney General Vern Miller, who served from 1971 to 1975, brought a new bout of enforcement of Kansas's prohibition, even raiding Amtrak trains traveling through Kansas to stop illegal liquor sales. Vern Miller as the state attorney general tried to make the liquor laws of the state a nuisance. He was in everybody's face about the details of Kansas prohibition back in the '70s. He even got the whole world laughing at Kansas for prohibiting liquor sales over rail and through the air in Kansas. It took Kansas a little over a decade to loosen the liquor laws after Miller left office.
Kansas is really slow.
