His title should be changed to "Resident Pathogen".

Seriously, if you want to find something equally creepy, check out the effects of toxoplasmosis in mice:


It has been found that the parasite has the ability to change the behaviour of its host: infected rats and mice are less fearful of cats—in fact, some of the infected rats seek out cat-urine-marked areas. This effect is advantageous to the parasite, which will be able to proliferate as a cat could eat the infected rat and later reproduce. The mechanism for this change is not completely understood, but there is evidence that toxoplasmosis infection raises dopamine levels and concentrates in the amygdala in infected mice.

Barkeep and I have been trying to contain the outbreak. First the victim drinks Stolichnaya and habanero extract, then I spray him down with my Flit gun full of the same, then it's a diet heavy on pork and Jaegermeister. But every time we think we've got it licked, some new fool starts typing "Hello", and the dance starts all over. Now that damned brain fungus shows up just to make things lively.

It feels like I've been awake forever, I need to get some rest. Here's the Flit gun, spray everyone you see. If their mouth's open, either shove a pork chop in it or pour a glass full of Jaegermeister down it. If you see Hajji Rudi, put on some hazmat gear and lock him in a treasure chest or something, just keep him in one place until we can figure out how to decon him. Don't talk on any Motorola HTs, they may have been modified to perform subaudible suggestion mind control.

I don't know for sure, but it sounds like you might need more fiber in your diet (or just a touch of fungus).
