How do I retrieve this damned mail?

Like it would matter how many bars you have, considering the display says you are accessing on Wi-Fi. I get three or more bars just about all of the time, too bad it is on EDGE and not 3G.

I get three bars on my AT&T phone all the time and have received e-mail from Steve Jobs. And I can prove both those things if you'd like.

You forgot to start with "Hello."

Had AT&T for nearly 5 years and don't miss it. Phones broke before the contract was up. They always refused to replace it under the terms of the insurance instead insisting on a new contract and insisting on using the new phone for an extra year. I could turn a corner and go from 5 bars to zero in an instant losing the call. Knew 4 places like that. The last year, most calls lasted under 2 minutes. They always got cut off and I rarely saw 4 bars let alone 5.

Verizon? Not much better. Gonna try PCS Metro or T-Mobile next time. Something has to be working. I actually see other people talking on their phones. Sometimes in an elevator!

I had them for an ISP once. I could have continued to have them as an ISP, but now I live one block too far away. Yes, I can see the fiber, but they won't connect me. Thankfully CenturyLink will, and I'm a happy camper.

Verizon? Not much better. Gonna try PCS Metro or T-Mobile next time. Something has to be working. I actually see other people talking on their phones. Sometimes in an elevator!I had AT&T when they were still the original AT&T Wireless. Never a major problem.

Then the original AT&T Wireless got bought out by Cingular. Billing issues. Corporate discount disappeared with no explanation... even was told I didn't have one, although right after that phone call it came back. General aggravation.

When they told us that the older network we were on were being phased out, and that we had to get new phones... and a mandatory 2 year contract... and our billing would double, since our "old plan" no longer existed... and we found out that their 'new' towers didn't work too well from the home we'd just bought (this was about 4 years ago)... we switched to Verizon Wireless.

And then they refused to discontinue service. Ended up charging us for an extra month on each phone. Thought I had THAT straightened out, then started getting more bills... for some 'administrative fee.' They threatened to take us to court. I told them to show proof we owed the money. They sent a copy of the bill with no further documentation. Spoke with the local magistrate, he told me that if they walked into his courtroom with only that, they would lose and get laughed at. Never heard from Cingular again.

Now that they've bought the rest of the old AT&T, and renamed themselves, we keep getting letters begging us to come back. Well, as long as they want to keep spending the money, I'll take their junque mail... and compost it.

I have AT&T, no problems, no complaints. Where I live, they're the only choice coverage wise.

What you said except for the last sentence. No problem, really, about anything.

Still have my RAZR that I got 2-3 years ago, and that's no longer available. I'll keep THAT til it disintegrates. Had a "fancy" phone for a while and HATED it -- glad I lost it so I was forced to re-activate my beloved RAZR (and AT&T did that for free.).

AT&T is a great choice if one is located in a remote area, or is a globe trotter. For those who hang mostly around urbanized areas, VZW has them beat hands down for reliability, and speed (For data).

But, if you find yourself in the Mojave Desert, or in the Alps, you had better have an AT&T phone if you ever want to make a call.

Which "fancy" phone did you have? The new lines of "fancy phones" are actually a HUGE step up from what they were. I waited forever to get a smart phone because my sense was spoiled due to the Treo 750w. My LG Ally even was a breath of fresh air.

Case in point, the Treo had a touch screen. It was horrible. So bad I dreaded a touch screen, let alone a virtual-only keyboard. So, I bought the Ally, and pretty much stopped using the hardware keyboard. The soft keyboard was a dream to use (The iPhone has a pretty sweet virtual keyboard too. Better than the stock Android one, but peanuts compared to Swype), so I upgraded to a phone with no hardware keyboard.

The RAZR is a nice phone though, I'd hang on to it forever as well. I loved the speakerphone on it.

A lot of people on VZW are getting those early-upgrade pushes for the iPhone. Sales did not quite meet expectations from what I gather (To be expected).

The heck with that. If I have to replace my phone, I'll bite the bullet and go to a Blackberry.

See, my company's sales folks all use Blackberry's. And last year, when the contract was up, we switched from Verizon to Sprint. The IT department now has a box of paid for, perfectly good, Verizon-network Blackberry's... I can get one from my boss cheap.

...no, I can't get one for you cheap, sorry... his rules, not mine...

We have many timing devices and capacitors in the Blackberry. Its success is my company's success.
