Hello.

NewsCorp just started up a new thing that runs on the iPAD.
It is a subscription based service, if you can qualify for the freebie, it really is free!
I got mine today.

I have no idea what you have to do to qualify, or even when I qualified.
But, no strings attached, one year of this plus the free iPad.

Link says nothing about a free iPad. It mentions a free iPad app, but that's entirely different than a free tablet. Do you have a better link?

Again, I have no idea as to how to qualify, I just did.
But there is something on the web about Apple doing such unusual stunts before.

A while back I went to the Apple store in North Star mall and asked some questions, and entered a survey.
My question was about an iBook and the power adapter and while waiting for an answer I decided to "play".
I am one of the ones who won an iPad for completing the surveys, there were 5 in total.
The contest is over.

You may be in for a surprise. The XOOM--the only full-sized Android tablet currently available--costs $800.

It's not the only one. A Flytouch 2 is a 10.2", with a plethora of ports, runs about $250 :) You can get a 7" one for anywhere from $50-$99 shipped :D

The iPad is not all that exciting anyway.
It is nothing more than an overgrown iPhone, right down to being GSM.
And, as far as photographs go, I post something and they want more photographs, or 'It was photoshopped' or who knows what?
The last 3 examples are on this very board.
1, I posted comments about my analog to P-25 adapter, and someone wants detailed photographs?
2, pictures of an Apple iBook adapter in Hospital grade, oddly enough, the very reason I went to the Apple store.
3, pictures of an extended .22 round and the weapon that fires it, another quality of photographs issue.
So I am back to the no photograph policy.
At some point I will meet at a public venue and whatever it is may be seen live.
But, iPad?, I enter contests all the time and my thoughts are if I can get it you should be able to get it, or at least try.
Type "free ipad" in google, there are a bunch of entries.
Look them over, most are bogus, but some may not be.

Take it apart and connect 3.6 volt source, it comes up and runs fine, batteries are dead and power connections are toast.
Get another, broken screen.
Swap parts and memory while I am at it, power up and am good.
Put T-Mobile SIM card in, works.
The things are super easy to work on.
