Good place to get appliance parts

I finally got one of those round tuits and found what part I needed for my microwave, thanks to them. As it turned out, I didn't need a service manual to find out how to get inside the thing -- the exploded views on that site led me to where the screws were. From there it was a simple matter to get at the door latches (what I needed).

When I called their toll-free number...two good thing happened. First, it didn't take long...but get this...as I was waiting I was kept informed of what place in line I was in. It first told me I was 7th, then 5th, then 3rd, and then the guy answered. Very, very convenient and impressive. And the guy was very knowledgable and personable. And their prices are good.

Fedex says they delivered the package today to a friend, as promised by the site.

No, there's a problem with the way he set up his link--there's an extra "http://" at the beginning. Remove that and it works fine.

I find that it is cheaper just to buy a new.
A classic example.

I rip apart old microwave ovens and use the transformer as part of an amplifier power supply.
The normal configuration is as a doubler, why one end of the secondary is grounded.
Lift the ground and put together a full wave bridge rectifier and you will have a 1500 volt DC supply that can provide 800 watts all day.
And there is a 3VAC at around 10 amp filament supply.
Need more power? hook up 2 transformers in parallel.
1600 watts is more than enough.
I very much prefer to get matched units i connect parallel to, this leaves open the option of connecting the primaries in series for 220 input.
Generic microwave diodes are around $3 a piece.

Got the parts and they're exactly as promised. I give that place 5+ stars.

All fixed and working good. And I discovered something great. Inside one of the ducts was some paperwork in a black plastic bag. I pulled it out and it turned out to be "technical information." Yep. Everything I needed...schematic....test procedures...pictorials. In short, the service manual I couldn't find on the 'net.

Needed it because the latch needed some adjustment...er...well...putting it back in properly!
