I thought this thread would help inform others who are interested in seeing if they can monitor communications that others are hearing from their own QTH. That's why I put it in Ham Radio Chit Chat. I'm leaning towards Rumpus now. Would the other Island members like this moved to Rumpus? I don't have a problem with it.

Can't hear him here on the Left Coast, only all the Norte Americanos falling all over themselves trying to work him (not to mention the morons who are tuning up on top of him). TJ3AY is in Cameroon, which definitely counts as rare DX.

The 11m monitor went off about 8am today and I can hear US stations from South Florida to California. I turn the HF rig over to 10m and few are playing. Mostly SA stations.

Yes, 10 is poppin' . Hearing a few stations on 12 meters as well.

11 meters is going nutso, and some AM interlopers are yukking it up on 28.145.

In the morning 80 - 10 open, USA/Ukraine, Europe, South America.
Then the ball dropped, dead bands, only to open up after 3 hours.
Watched the bands till dinnertime here, one hour back.

My 300' horizontal loop was better than the vertical. Interesting.

Oh, and now Brazil on 28.450 USB. Blasting strong signals.
