"But that trick never works!"

Huge fan here, too, although I realize now that I didn't get half the jokes at the time.

It's like Popeye, it's not what he said, it's what he mumbled.

Bugs (ofcourse) super-chicken, bullwinkle, Tennessee Tuxedo, Popeye, and pretty much anything Tex Avery! Now if I could find the Tex Avery cartoon about the opera singer and the magic wand..the sight gags (as well as the rabbits) just kill me!

That's one of my favorites too, but for a series, Jonny Quest, The Flintstones and The Jetsons. Loved Rocky and Bullwinkle especially Fractured Fariy Tales.

Here's Magical Maestro, the one Bunneh mentioned. (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4pd9b_mgm-magical-maestro-1952_shortfilms)

Symphony in Slang (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x45xby_mgm-cartoon-symphony-in-slang-1951_shortfilms) was great as was Little Red Riding Rabbit - Ta HAVE See?!? (http://www.trilulilu.ro/SHANA04/ab6148968424dd)
Honorable Mention. Taz. Betty Boop.

Looney Tunes, especially Bugs Bunny and Road Runner. Smurfs.

No hijack intended... But when Chuck Jones passed, I kinda cried. Especially when Cartoon Network would show there bump honoring Chuck Jones. He kept me laughing as a kid and an adult. I'll probably weep when Jerry Lewis passes too.

I cannot pick a favorite, I love all of the aforementioned cartoons. I prefer the classic Warner Brother period, and the classic Hanna Barbera.
