Yeah I saw this a few years ago - wow.
All that equipment is homemade too by the look of it.

Talk about building from scratch, eh?

I first saw this a year or two ago but I ran into it again by accident and thought that people here should know about it if they didn't already.

I didn't see it on the Zed, I found it on YouTube. Never even knew it had been on QRZ.

Make the right tubes and it could be possible to eek out a living with the right business plan too.

With all the hand-work involved in making those things, he'd have to charge a huge amount of money for each one. Unless there isn't a mass-produced Chinese or Russian equivalent, I can't see how he could succeed.

Then again, some of the more fringe audiophiles will spend absurd amounts of money for things they imagine makes their equipment sound better. It's possible that they could be fooled into thinking that hand made tubes were the new gold standard when it comes to audio reproduction. Might work with guitarists as well.

Yea, like artistic blown glass skills applied to audio tubes for that old guitar amp. With a new front panel sporting a window, to gaze upon it all.

The "working parts" could be setup for small scale mass production, and shorten the build time... same tube over and over, electrically.

That could be sustainable.

Yep, marketing and colorful graphs. He could also offer custom tubes for the man with a dream and an idea.
