If you've got one, you know that it uses a mini-usb connector. And, the early models had a flaw -- the usb jack is recessed into the cabinet too far and the connector doesn't really seat properly and will fall out & screw things up if you just look at it.
I just fixed it by making the hole in the cabinet bigger with a pair of dykes\, now it's fine. I also understand that WD has fixed this in newer models.
