I'd guess between 2k - 5k for the engines alone.Add in the fabrication of the plane itself, the radio system, and the time and labor and we're probably looking at something >10K.... I'll put it this way. If I built that airplane I would be afraid to fly it.

George... Did you ever see grown men cry ?? :(:(
Actually, it is possible to bind a backup transmitter to the receiver in the aircraft such that it can be controlled by the backup should the primary transmitter die. I'd be more worried about the receiver in the plane crapping out. Nonetheless, if such a crapout were to happen expect to see several grown men laying on the ground in tears.
