too bad there is no native Echolink client for Linux. It can be run under wine but I have sound issues with Pulseaudio and wine. Some people recommend ditching Pulseaudio but it is working great with so many other native apps. I suppose I could set up a dedicated machine for echostink + wine + linux.

Anyone experimented with this or anyone know of any native Linux clients ?

of course I could always use Windoze but that is highly unorthodox.

:dunno: I use it with Wine & Pulseaudio without any issues. It runs surprisingly well.

What distro/version/sound card?

Okay, right now I am running Fedora 11 (soon to be upgraded) with 2.6.x kernel. For the desktop I'm using KDE 4. I forget the exact make of the soundcard, its an old card I had in my parts junkbox. It uses an Avance Logic Inc. ALS4000 Audio Chipset.
