Remember Thijs van Leer with Hocus Pocus?
Ex neighbour...;)Loved the group Focus. I grew up listening to the album rock station WSHE in Fort Lauderdale. They would play the long album version of Hocus Pocus until they wore the grooves out of the LP. Nothing like Dutch yodeling!

5 Guy's all cum laude from the Conservatory Uni.
Wore out my record too, now the CD's and on the laptop.

;)
We have/had a lot of good groups here, the Cats, and lots more, and were with the Brits the leading rock country's.

Might have been hidden news in the US of A :)

It almost certainly was. I lived in Germany from 71-73 and 75-77, and the thing which always amazed me what the lack of overlap between American and European music on the radio. You'd tune across the dial and the AFRATS stations seemed out of place, somehow.

Listened on MW Am to lots of stations, English, Dutch pirate stations on ships outside the territorial waters, Radio Luxembourgh, Veronica, London radio etc, Fm band BFBS, and lots of others, as well short wave radio.

1977 i got my license, listening to music became a bit less intense, but never went away.
Even now i scan the Short Wave bands if i'm bored.

Greatfull Death and lots of other bands from the USA were standard repertoire here, Rhino Records sold LP's cheap to Europe, one source for me to get records from the USA.

Oh well...
