That means 10M ought to be workable for some of us.

See you folks there...

Monitoring 28.430. There is a conversation there that is fading in and out. Also it is the only activity I can find.

I caught a couple Missouri and Alabama stations on 10m about the time you posted this...but dead for me now, or nobody's speaking up where I have prop at the moment.
Dropped down to 20m to see what's happening there.

This solar cycle sucks. When I finally got my license (2005), I completely expected the bands to be rockin' right about now.
Just my luck, I guess.

You would think that if Baxter was'nt paying his $21,000 that at least he'd use the money to fix that crappy audio of his!! Oh well, soon that goof will be history, and Mr. Kooky down the road from me will get his too......here's to better days :-D

Well Gary, within your tag line there is the spark of an idea. The general public would be better served by a career change, from broadcast dummies to crash test dummies!

Baxters Creed... "I want everybody to follow my rules because I'm a narcissist with a big ego so I'll do whatever I want and when I get in trouble I'll cry and whine that they are being unfair to me because I am great and I am always right".

Do we have 'spots?

Noted some activity on 27.025 when I got home around 10 last night - parked one of the shack receivers on the frequency and have been listening to it all night. As of this posting the skip-shooting is still going strong; propagation of such long duration is in all probability not a Sporadic E event.

Headed to 10 in a few to check things...maybe some European DX can be found there.

Didn't hear a single beacon on 10, but the 11M crowd in the Louisiana/Mississippi area is quite active this morning. Methinks a long-duration Es event has set up near an occluded front -or- there's a gravity wave involved...no other likely triggers for a lingering E cloud.

A lot of folks are missing it, too. Not one station to be found on 10M.

I've been getting email alerts that 6M is popping as well, but as I'm at work I can't partake. The boss has some stupid notions about how I spend my time when he's paying for it.

It's starting to pop a little here... listening at 28.400. FL, TX, IL, OK so far.

17 is rocking, 15 has activity. Coolness.

As they say, "When the bowl is rolling roll with the bowl". :)

Things finally died about 20 minutes ago. This has to be one of the longest Sporadic E events I've ever witnessed and is certainly the lengthiest I've observed in the winter Es season.
