All I can say is that we have some very, very wonderful and generous people on this website. I'm not going to say who because I'm not sure if he wants everyone to know, but someone bought me a really nice Astron power supply for my rig and had it shipped right to my door.

All I can say is, thank you, thank you, thank you. That was a wonderful thing to do and I really appreciate it. :kiss:

Good on whoever did this.

Having the Astron is half the equation.

Putting the rig on the air and participating in a net with this fine crew of gnatly vermin is, of course, the OTHER half.

Probably. Being swamped is better than sitting here all bored and stuff, although it is fun to post here in the midst of my boredom. Usually when I'm posting though, I have other things I'm doing at the same time. Here it's just me, the Netbook and 800 channels of bullshit on the flat screen.

I will definitely be on the air, and I'm part of the gnatly vermin here so I'm good with that. Now I may just have to put up a better antenna. I wish I trusted myself to get up on the roof. After my episode on Friday I'm thinking that's not a good idea.

Poke a hole through the ball, pass through and tie off a length of 550 cord then use the launcher to put the ball over the desired support...tree, roof, etc. Then use the 550 to pull your main line up. Which in turn will be used to pull the wire antenna into place...
