I don't know about clues (Col. Mustard, with the candlestick, in the library), but you can buy a half dozen bagels at Brueggers for about $5.

Christmas or, Saturnalia as it was called, became one of the most popular Roman festivals. Marked with all manner of tomfoolery, as well as including but not limited to homosexuality, its popularity saw it grow until it became a week long extravaganza, ending on the 23rd.
Then the Catholics and later the Protestants ruined the party for everyone.
I guess everybody was gay back then.

Can you just imagine a return to this Roman festival?

What? Homosexuality among those manly proto-Italians? No way, man. Besides, everyone knows that Jupiter hates fags. And shrimp.

So are you putting up a Christmas Tree this year?

How about a Hannukah Bush?

Someone find the fast-forward button and push it for me, please. If I have to endure another week-long marathon of "It's a Wonderful Life" or "A Christmas Story" I'm going to damage the fuggin' TV.

Worse still is the in-laws' insistence of playing the sh!t year after year after year...Hint: None of us is three any more.

I love it when you talk dirty. :-D

Out of curiousity, why haven't you set up a tree for years? I've had to do it for 20 years, but that's my own fault for marrying a shiksa (again).

No real reason. Nothing political. I just don't play the game.

Let 'em sit out for a couple of weeks, add a bit of velocity and a path to the noggin and they can help to provide a pretty good clue.

They would indeed, "just shit!"

From my experiences with the Catholic church that could help a lot of them clear their minds.
I don't know what it is by most folks I know from outside the church but do attend and follow
the teachings are descent folks. Those I met actually in the church were a bunch of self righteous
puds.

Me too. I even got one all picked out and she just inherited a big house just outside of
San Diego. Bush, black widows, and Top Ramen in bed, just don't get much better
than that.:rofl::rofl:

In-laws are the reason I don't do any of this holiday crap. They took so much out of it by overdoing it that working the holiday is more fun.

Hello.

Since I was adopted it was clear that I did not belong but in my teenage runaway yeas in Mexico I learned to like Christmas.
Now I will do Christmas, but only in Mexico.
Really, my family is from Mexico, with relatives in Saudi Arabia.
Although I was born in Germany and have a lot of friends there my roots are in Mexico.
